How has working with veterans and their families impacted your perspective?

Community Matters, I've seen firsthand how powerful targeted support can be when it acknowledges and addresses the specific challenges of military life. When we truly understand these unique circumstances, we can provide more effective and meaningful assistance and not just within the military community. Additionally, the ripple effect of service . Every service member's commitment extends far beyond the individual - it touches partners, children, parents and the wider family network. Each family member serves in their own way, adapting to frequent moves, managing long separations, and providing crucial emotional support.

How does your work support your personal values or passions?

My work in the military charity sector, combined with my humanitarian experience supporting women and children with the UN in Kenya, reflects my deep commitment to serving those who sacrifice for others while protecting vulnerable populations globally. Whether I'm helping military spouses access resources like mental health care  and jobs or implementing programmes for communities in need, my work and the team I work with fulfils my core values of service, compassion, and making a tangible difference in people's lives.
