We aren’t a corporate giant, or a legacy provider with thousands of staff. We are a nimble, agile team of military spouses, partners, and veterans, fuelled by passion, lived experience, and a deep love for what we do.
Our entire team could fit in your living room, but our impact would fill the Royal Albert Hall. In the last 12 months, RFS supported 5,010 members of the Armed Forces community – proving that you don’t need a big corporate budget to deliver national-scale results.
We get it. Because we live it too.
For 14 years, we have worked to empower the military community from the inside, because this community is our community.
Over the past 12 months, the RFS team has navigated the challenges of service life alongside fighting for our mission. Some of us have relocated across the UK and the world; some have been affected by global instability and had to leave homes overnight; others have solo-parented during deployments and faced sleepless nights worrying about ‘what’s next’.
For us, it isn’t business - it’s personal.
There is no greater sense of purpose than that. It only drives us to work harder to make a change. We know the incredible, untapped talent that lives within our community: the resilience, the adaptability, and the professional grit that can’t be taught. They are our friends, they are our peers, and they are us.
We are lean by design.
Being lean means we move faster, we pivot to our partners’ needs in days rather than months, and we know all our clients by name. It means that more of every pound we receive flows exactly where it belongs: into coaching, workshops, and sustainable career pathways for those who serve behind the scenes.
We aren’t here to tick boxes or fill quotas.
We are here to bridge the gap between mission-ready talent and the organisations that need them most. We are here to prove that meaningful social impact doesn’t require massive scale; it requires focus, passion, and a deep belief in the mission.
Behind every stat and data point in our latest Annual Impact Report is a military spouse, a veteran, or a partner who finally feels seen and valued. And for us, that’s everything.
