Press Release: ‘Recruit for Spouses’ partners Longleat: major employer signs up to the Armed Forces Covenant
As it continues to bring military spouses back to the workplace in diverse roles, Recruit for Spouses is delighted to announce a new partnership with Longleat, the stately home and its Estate, on the eve of its signing of the Armed Forces Covenant. Co-signatories General Nick Carter, Chief of the General Staff, and Ceawlin Thynn, Viscount Weymouth, will witness the pledge at Longleat House on Wednesday 21 June.
Partners who sign the covenant commit to the national promise of supporting the Forces community through a range of business and charitable interests, or simply offer a public show of support that recognises the value of the community, including its spouses and partners.
Link to Warminster’s untapped talent
Sited just outside Warminster in Wiltshire, Longleat is within easy reach of several Service communities, making it an ideal opportunity for military spouses seeking interesting and rewarding employment.
Recruit for Spouses is excited to be able to connect the Estate, a large employer in the area, to the wider pool of untapped talent on its doorstep. “We see working with Recruit for Spouses as a natural extension to our recruitment programme and an important relationship to build on,” says Simon Askew, Head of HR for Longleat. “Longleat has for some time embraced the essence of the Military Covenant, and with it, support for the military family. With Warminster Garrison so close to the Estate, the signing this week is very much our confirmation of this support.”
Longleat enjoys a private vacancies page on the Recruit for Spouses website (visit: www.recruitforspouses.co.uk) and is a welcome addition to the growing list of big-name employers using it as a reliable, in-tune recruitment channel.
Recruit for Spouses Founder and CEO Heledd Kendrick says: “Creating the right opportunities with employers who are ‘military friendly’ is paramount to the long-term success of initiatives that support our Forces, in particular around Armed Forces Day when we remember the sacrifices so many families make in Wiltshire. Longleat is one of those employers and thanks to the support of the MOD we’ve been able to create some excellent roles for spouses.”
